After months of work, we are FINALLY happy to announce the release of EardrumsPop’s collaboration compilation Between Two Waves. All songs are made as collaborations between bands, two of the artworks are made as collaborations between illustrators, and we’re a nice team behind it all who have collaborated for several months making it.

Most of the bands have chosen new names for their projects, so you may not recognize the bandnames at first, but look at the tracklist and in the beautiful booklet (made by Julia Pax), and you will see who is behind the projects.

We hope you enjoy the music, and please tell us what you think. If you like it, please send your friends over here too!

Oláfachada – There is another sky from EardrumsPop, the label on Vimeo.

Oláfachada is a collaboration project by Ola Innset from the Norwegian indiepop-band My Little Pony (myspace.com/mylittleponyoslo) and the Portuguese artist b Fachada (myspace.com/bfachada).

The song and the project is especially made for EardrumsPop’s collaboration compilation “Between Two Waves”, which will be released for free on eardrumspop.com in mid/late April.

Well, so far we have introduced you to Jacob Borshard & Helena Sundin and Baffin Island, and now it’s time for another introduction. Maybe it’s too early, but we just can’t wait.

(Update: The project Trafik has changed their name to En Handvändning)

En handvändning is the name of a collaboration between Fredrik Karlsson from the Swedish band SOLANDER and the poet Jerker Kaj, also from Sweden. During four hours in January, the two recorded the song “Ett Hus Av Trä” (a house made of wood), and while the song was made, they also made a stop-motion video of their session.
The song is in Swedish, and I think this is the first time ever that Karlsson has recorded a song in his native language. While we talk about Solander: They have a brilliant, free ep out on Bandcamp now, – go and get it, after you have seen the video!

Here is the video. The mp3 will be on our album, released next week.

Baffin Island is a collaboration-project between Jeremy from THE VERY MOST (Boise, Idaho, USA) and Mel from THE HERMIT CRABS (Glasgow, Scotland). Baffin Island is the exact midpoint between Boise, Idaho, USA and Glasgow, Scotland, UK. The song and the project is made especially for EardrumsPop’s “Between Two Waves” collaboration compilation, which will be released as a free download mid April on eardrumspop.com.

We haven’t revealed much of our tracklist yet, but I can reveal two new names for you here and now. Cineplexx from Argentina and Onward Chariots (previously Chariots of Tuna) from USA have teamed up together in the project LEAVING RIO. They have made a beautiful indiepop song with a warm springtime-feeling and bossanova-beats for the Between Two Waves-compilation. Both bands will play this years Indietracks festival, and plan to perform this song together there! The Indietracks-blog interviewed Cineplexx today, and he mentions the compilation and talks a lot about his other collaborations.
